For more than four decades, Balistreri Realty has been providing
buyers, sellers and developers of properties superior real estate

Joseph S. Balistreri, who had relocated his family and real estate
business from Wisconsin to South Florida, established the
company—then operating as Joseph S. Balistreri, Inc.—as primarily a
residential brokerage in Pompano Beach in 1964. After initial
careers in the military and in construction management, his sons Joe
and Jim earned their real estate credentials and joined the firm.
In 1991, Joseph S. Balistreri retired. Joe and Jim, by then seasoned
veterans in the business, bought the firm. They renamed it
Balistreri Realty, and immediately set about its growth, building
rapidly on the foundation their father had established.
Under their stewardship, Balistreri Realty went from a 65-Associate
sales force in one location to a 225-Associate sales force in six
regional sales centers, each with a veteran, top-producing sales
manager at the helm.
They created an in-house marketing/media relations department to
provide maximum exposure and support for the company’s associates
and their clients.
They added the “one-stop-shopping” concept to Balistreri Realty to
the firm's business practice, putting under one roof real
estate-related services clients might need—relocation and
vacation-home services through Leading Real Estate Companies of the
World™, REFNET® and Realty Referral Network®;
title insurance and closing services through Integrity Title; and
mortgage financing through
Academy Mortgage
Corp.
Joe and Jim expanded the company’s scope of service to include
commercial and business-opportunity brokerage, as well as
new-development and multiunit sales, creating separate divisions to
handle each specialized area.
They also initiated a rigorous training and professional-development
program to upgrade Associates’ skills and give them a competitive
edge in all aspects of real estate.
State-of-the-art technology is standard in each well-appointed
